GCSE Results 2019: Stradbroke High School




"Another excellent set of GCSE results" saw 65 per cent of 43 Stradbroke High School students achieve the benchmark of at least a grade 4 in both English and maths.

Exceeding grade 5 in these two subjects were 51 per cent of them and 35 per cent attained at least one grade of 8 or above.

Headteacher John Axtell said: "Once again, we are are delighted that our students have been rewarded for their hard work with another excellent set of GCSE results this year.

"I am thrilled that the efforts of all our students, the dedication of staff and the support of families has paid dividends, enabling the students to pursue their future ambitions.

"We wish them all the very best as they move on very successfully from Stradbroke High School."

Notable successes include Head Boy Spencer Kent, who attained eight grade 9s and two grade 8s.

Additionally, Katie Childs proved her talents in maths and sciences, with grade 9s in these subjects, as well as securing a grade A in additional maths, and a pass in Level 3 algebra.
