GCSE Results 2019: Diss High School




At Diss High School, 84 per cent of the 154 students sitting the exams have achieved a grade four or above in English, 79 per cent in two sciences, 76 per cent in Maths and 72 achieved a grade 4 or above in both English and Maths - a six per cent increase compared to last year.

Pleased with the results, headteacher Dr Jan Hunt said: "This year group has achieved very highly and have made excellent progress from their starting points.

"Students and staff are to be congratulated on another successful set of results which have come from dedicated hard work and supportive parents.”

Notable individuals include Finn Zaal who achieved 11 strong GCSE passes including 8 grade 9s, 2 grade 8s and a grade A in Level 3 additional maths.

Reuben Nebbett-Blades achieved 10 strong passes including 6 grade 9s and 1 grade 8; Oliver Bevan achieved 9 strong passes including 7 grade 9s and 1 grade 8.

Phoebe Court 11 achieved 10 strong passes including 2 grade 9s and 4 grade 8s and Ethan Everson-Germany achieved 11 strong passes including 4 grade 9s and 2 grade 8s.
