A former telephone exchange located near Diss, currently with planning consent for conversion to a dwelling, is coming up at auction next month.

The property, based in Norwich Road, on the outskirts of Tivetshall St Mary, is among 145 lots which are being sold by regional land and property auctioneers Clive Emson in June.

The disused telephone exchange, situated on a 0.31-acre plot, has a freehold guide price of £50,000 and is offered with vacant possession.

Paul Bridgeman, Clive Emson auctioneer and a former president of the National Association of Auctioneers and Valuers, said: “Planning permission was granted last year for converting the property into a two-bedroom home.”

He added: “I am delighted to report that 100 per cent of the lots offered at the May auction were sold on the day or within seven days post-auction – the second time this has been achieved in six months.”
