Goodies Food Hall’s first event puts it in the market for more
A market in a well-known food hall has been branded a huge success after its first outing.
The event at Goodies Food Hall in Pulham Market saw 20 stalls showcasing their wares on April 26.
Connie Ackers, who runs The Best of Norfolk and organised the market, said it could not have gone better.
“There was such a positive feeling to it and we had some great feedback from stallholders, which I always use as a gauge to find out how these sorts of things go,” she said.
“We had one stallholder say that it was the best event that she had done, sales-wise, so that was really lovely.
“There was a steady flow of footfall, and people were so complimentary about the event and the food hall as a whole.”
Given its success, it is hoped that it could become a regular event, taking place on the last Saturday of every month.
Goodies Food Hall, which is just off the A140, sells a range of local produce, including bread, meats, preserves, fruit and vegetables, as well as having a restaurant.
“This all started after I received an email by the shop floor manager who wanted to start a monthly market as they had done an Easter and a Christmas one and wanted to do something more regular,” said Mrs Ackers.
“Just from this first one, we have had quite a lot of interest from stallholders, particularly for the summer months, so I feel this can only grow.
“It is great that people have really taken to the idea.”
