Held at the weekend, the festival featured a series of stunning displays based on The Twelve days of Christmas.

Organiser Elizabeth Kemble said: “We wanted to make people stop and think about the real meaning of Christmas, rather than the commercial side of it.”

The church, in Victoria Road, raised more than £500 through donations and gave £300 to two-year-old Jack Wright, who has been diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder.

The weekend concluded on Sunday when a number of familiar carols were sung.
