Flood alert issued for Rivers Deben which could affect Debenham, Ufford, Framsden and other areas




A flood alert has been issued for the River Deben.

The Environment Agency’s issued a for the river alongside another for the Lark today.

It said some minor flooding to low lying land, roads and riverside areas is likely, with the river levels responding to recent rainfall.

Areas from Debenham to Ufford are at risk, including Framsden, Earl Soham, Easton, Bromeswell Glevering and Wickham Market.

The Environment Agency said it is not expecting the situation to escalate or that any further warnings would be issued.

The dry conditions forecast for today should allow the river levels to return to normal.

The agency advised people to take care on riverside footpaths and to not get into unneccessary danger.
