Norfolk to be battered by rain and lightning over the next five days says Met Office

The warmth and humidity of this week's heatwave is set to end abruptly today as storms roll across the south of England.

The Met Office has placed a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms across Norfolk for the next five days, with heavy downpours expected.

While the exact times and locations of these storms are described as "uncertain," they pose a risk of transport delays, cancellations, difficult driving conditions and power cuts.

Areas around Diss are currently forecast to be warm this afternoon, but this may change quickly in the following days.

There will also be a 10 degree drop in temperature compared to the low to mid 30's that have been seen recently.
