South Norfolk's growing business offering innovative fitness classes

A woman behind a series of fitness classes, which have exploded in popularity, has praised her team of instructors for keeping people in shape during the pandemic.

Tribe ALL Fitness began as a single fitness class six years ago in Long Stratton, before growing into an innovative approach to keeping fit, involving dancing, boxing and ballet sessions.

Founded by Amy Bobbins, of Roydon, the business has grown to include a team of six, who have helped roll-out the classes to a number of different locations.

The 38-year-old said: “We began in 2014 as a very small dance fitness class once a week but, as time went on, the timetable grew alongside demand and today we teach seven days a week and have a growing team of excellent instructors.

“We have three different fitness brands. ‘Jungle body’ offers a wide range of fitness programmes, from dance cardio to choreographed weighted exercises.

“Then we have ‘totally shredded’, which is a combat/cardio workout to drum and base music. There is also our newest addition, ‘barre strength’, which is a classical ballet barre class, which we hope to launch soon.”

Alongside being a leading ambassador for the jungle body workout routines, Mrs Bobbins puts together presentations for UK fitness events, which she delivers through online Zoom meetings, with all fitness classes currently restricted to the online platform for safety reasons.

“In March 2020, we covered Diss, Harleston, Long Stratton and Stanton, but within 24 hours of lockdown we had moved everything online and have taught a mixture of face-to-face and online classes ever since,” said Mrs Bobbins.

“It hasn’t discouraged any of our members, though. The people who attend our classes week after week, who welcome each other, support each otherand motivate one another, we couldn’t do this without them. Our tribe is what makes us special and unique.

“Our instructors work their socks off to motivate and inspire and we understand everyone’s needs are different. We’re advocates of all things fitness – be it physical or mental health, we have it covered.”
