A stroke survivors’ support group is to be set up in Harleston to fill a current void.

It is believed no such group exists in the town and the first will be held next Thursday, January 29, at Harleston Information Plus (HIP), 8 Exchange Street from 2-3.30pm.

A stroke survivor from the town came up with the idea, and asked HIP if it would facilitate starting one up.

Julie Helsby, of HIP, said: “This meeting is to gauge interest and for stroke survivors to tell us what they would like.”

Those interested in attending should Julie Helsby on 01379 851920, call in at HIP or email julie.helsby@harleston-norfolk.org.uk to book a place so adequate refreshments are available.
