Firefighters tackle house fire in Rickinghall

Fire crews tackled a house fire in Rickinghall last night.

Firefighters were called to a semi-detached, two-storey home on Rectory Hill at around 5.05pm to find a fire in the grill pan of a cooker.

One crew from Diss, one from Eye and one from Ixworth were mobilised to the scene.

Crews used two sets of breathing apparatus and one hose reel to extinguish the fire.

The incident was under control by 5.37pm.
