Fire service rescues boy stuck in Hepworth tree

A fire crew from Ixworth was called to rescue a teenage boy who had become stuck in a tree in Hepworth on Saturday.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service received a call at 1.52pm alerting them to a park in Church Lane, and had a crew at the scene within 15 minutes.

On arrival, they found the boy stuck about 6m high in a tree.

Firefighters used a 9m ladder to rescue the boy, who was not hurt or injured.
