Fire crews fight blaze in Eye house annex

Crews from Suffolk and Norfolk attended a fire in the annex of a house in Oak Crescent, Eye, this afternoon.

the Fire service’s Combined Control received a call to the address at about 2.50pm and sent one appliance from Stradbroke and one from Diss.

Suffolk Fire Service says crews found a fire in an annex of a semi-detached house and fire fighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel and covering jet to extinguish the fire.

The incident was under control in about 50 minutes.
