Diss Carnival line-up announced as countdown begins to popular south Norfolk event
The countdown for Diss Carnival has begun with full schedule announced.
The carnival will take place on June 8, with the theme: Around Our World.
The streets and park will come alive with global sounds, sights, and tastes, offering a vibrant celebration of international culture right in the heart of town.
Highlights will include:
A world-class parade.
The day kicks off with a spectacular parade starting at 12:30pm from Diss High School. Over 20 entries will bring the streets to life with themed floats, walking groups, and dancers, each representing a different country or culture.
The procession winds its way along Walcot Road, Mount Street, through the town centre and into Diss Park, where the Fun Day begins at 1:30pm.

The park will be buzzing from 1:30pm to 5:30pm, featuring more than 50 stalls and activities, including:
International street foods
Face painting, glitter bar, festival hair and henna tattoos
Craft stalls, toy stalls
Have-a-go activities
Larry Gray’s Funfair
Free children’s science fun with Kinetic Adventure
Kids’ activity tent hosted by Diss Baptist Church
Themed vintage photobooth
Crockery Smash and classic carnival games
Live Entertainment Across Two Performance Areas

The window dressing competition means carnival spirit is already spreading through the town, with 30 local shops participating in the Around Our World window competition.
There will be free parking at Morrisons Supermarket and in Diss’s public car parks at Mount Street, Weavers Court, Shelfanger Road, Chapel Street, and Church Street.
