The Norwich and Peterborough Building Society in Diss has helped raise more than £220 for the Marie Curie Hour of Need Appeal — which will fund 11 hours of nursing care.

The branch held a football theme cake sale and sweepstake. The national campaign is backed by pundit Chris Kamara.

Abby Ridley, manager of the Diss branch of the Norwich and Peterborough Building Society, said: “We’re so proud that customers in Diss have helped us raise enough money to fund 11 hours of Marie Curie nursing care.

“The Hour of Need campaign is having a real impact on terminally ill people and their families and we will continue to raise even more money throughout the rest of the year.”
