Ed Sheeran announces three shows at Portman Road stadium in Ipswich

Ed Sheeran will be bringing it home to Suffolk this summer with a set of gigs at Portman Road.

The Framlingham-born superstar will perform at Ipswich Town’s home stadium from July 11 to 13.

The tour will see him debut new tracks from his upcoming album, Play, set to release on September 12.

The club began teasing the announcement yesterday, including a projection on the Orwell Bridge and the stadium itself.

ITFC confirmed the details with SuffolkNews this morning.

The shows mark his first UK headliners since 2023.

He will be supported by Myles Smith and Tori Kelly for the July 11 show, Busted and Dylan on July 12 and James Blunt and Maisie Peters on July 13.

Fans who pre-order Ed’s new album will gain access to exclusive ticket pre-orders on May 7.

They will then go on sale to the general public on May 9.

£1 from every ticket will be donated to Live Trust, a new charity offering financial support to those working in live music.

This will help support the grassroots music sector.
