Driver fails to stop in Palgrave collision leaving cyclist with broken ribs


A cyclist was taken to hospital with broken ribs after a fail-to-stop collision in Palgrave on Saturday morning.

The incident happened on Denmark Hill, at about 7.30am.

The male cyclist was riding his bike up the road when he was involved in a collision with a car that failed-to-stop.

The man, 54, was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital where he continues to receive treatment for nine broken ribs, other internal injuries, and bruising.

The vehicle – described as possibly being a light coloured Ford or similar - was being driven from the Diss direction into Palgrave. Police say they need to trace the driver.

Anyone with information about the vehicle or the driver involved or anyone who saw what happened is asked to call PC Colin Taylor by calling Suffolk Police on 101 and quoting CAD 88 of August 15.
