Driver failed to stop after knocking 12-year-old girl off her bike Mendham

Police are appealing for the driver of a silver Ford to come forward after hitting a 12-year-old girl off her bike and failing to stop in Mendham.

She was cycling, with her sister, on Denny Hill in Mendham around 5.50pm on Monday when the silver Ford collided with the back wheel of her bike, causing her to fall off.

The girl sustained an injury to her knee.

The vehicle failed to stop at the scene and continued through the village.

Police are asking the driver of the vehicle, or anyone with information about who they are, or anyone who witnessed the collision, to call PC Dan Peck at Stowmarket by dialling Suffolk Police on 101 and quoting CAD 413 of July 13.
