Drainage work set to close part of a Diss road




A section of a Diss road, affected during heavy rain, is set to be worked on for a week to help alleviate surface water flooding that occurs there.

The work will be carried out between No.21 and No.23 Walcot Road, starting from October 25.

Though access to properties directly affecting the work will be maintained, there will be a road closure and signed diversion for the duration of the drainage improvement works.

The fully signed official diversion route will be Uplands way – Frenze Road – Frenze Hall Lane – Walcot Green – Walcot Road.

The work which will cost £5,000 will be carried out by Norfolk County Council’s Community and Environmental Services Department and their contractors.
