Dr Dan Poulter joins forces with Men’s Health to prove the busiest can get fit
The Conservative MP for Central Suffolk and North Ipswich Dr Dan Poulter has joined forces with Men’s Health magazine for an eight-week fitness challenge.
It aims to show how people with the busiest lifestyles can get fit. Dr Poulter, who will be joined by MPs from Labour and the Liberal Democrats, regularly works between 70 and 80 hours a weeks as an MP, Government Health Minister and as an unpaid NHS doctor.
Dr Poulter said: “As a Government Health Minister, and as a doctor, I believe that it is important to lead by example, and make time for sport and exercise as part of a healthy lifestyle. I hope that my efforts will help to encourage other people with busy lives to make small changes to improve their health and fitness.”
Results are due to be revealed in April, together with a campaign to raise awareness of prostate cancer.
