Diss Town Council looking forward to working with station to provide ‘top quality radio service’
Diss Town Council has congratulated Park Radio on their successful full-time FM licence bid — and say they are looking forward to helping them provide a ‘top quality’ radio service for the Diss Express area.
Formed in 2010, the station were awarded a five-year licence which will allow them to serve about 50,000 people across the Waveney Valley, including Diss, Eye and Harleston.
The station hopes to be based at the Diss Youth and Community Centre, in Shelfanger Road, in a portable modular unit, with contact points in Harleston and Eye.
Deputy town clerk Sarah Richards said: “Our congratulations to the Park Radio team for this success following all their hard work.
“The Town Council looks forward to working with them to help develop their new premises at the Diss Youth and Community Centre so that they can start delivering their top quality radio service for Diss and surrounds.”
