Diss six formers hand over charity cheque to Each for £3,500

Diss sixth-form students have presented a children’s hospice with a cheque for more than £3,500.

The money was raised for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (Each) as part of Diss High School’s Festive Fundraiser week in December.

It involved students organising a host of activities, including a charity auction, a Taskmaster-style show and a spicy food challenge.

The school is a long-time supporter of Each, with this latest success meaning it has now given more than £37,000 to the hospice, which must raise £16 million every year.

Headteacher Sam Stopps said: “We were delighted to give Ellie Miller from Each the cheque in person and really grateful that she made the time to come in and thank the students for their fundraising efforts.

“Our school cherishes its links with such an important charity and looks forward to raising money for it in the future.”
