Diss has been named by a national newspaper as being one of this nation’s most Christmassy towns.

The Daily Telegraph’s Max Davidson has put Diss among such illustrious company as Edinburgh, Leeds and Nottingham as places that really know how to ramp up the festive fun.

The article states: “The market town of Diss is at the centre of an absolute orgy of festive fun, from the popular Fifty Christmas Trees in a Church festival in Dickleburgh to a string of themed events at Bressingham Steam and Gardens.”

In previous articles he has highlighted Norfolk as one of the country’s best councils and Bury St Edmunds as the place with the second highest life expectancy.
