Diss Morrisons enjoys sweet success with gingerbread village

The Morrisons store in Diss embraced the festive spirit last week as it joined up with
schools to create a whole village of gingerbread houses.
Organised by the store’s community champion Ruth Harris-Orford, the models were built by the supermarket staff along with school and nursery pupils from Diss, Fressingfield, Scole and Stradbroke – kicking off a month of fundraising for the Text Santa charity.
Bag-packing sessions were also held at the primary schools in Diss, Roydon and Wortham in support of the charity.
So far, £1,000 has been raised. The gingerbread village is on display and any donations can be pledged in the store.
