Diss family show the path to appreciation for NHS workers
A Diss family have shown their appreciation for NHS workers by creating a mural to the health service on their own front lawn.
On Wednesday, Laura Jane-Hill and her children, Mason, five, and Amelia, 12, used the garden path that leads up to their front door as a canvas on which they spelt out ‘Thank you NHS’ in chalk.
Mrs Jane Hill, 38, from Champneys Road, said: “We’re renovating the garden at the moment, and we have made our own chalkboard.
“We’ve been outside, clapping every Thursday for the NHS, and we thought this would be a really nice thing to do, and a way for us to show support.”
“We have moved our cars out of the way now as well, so everybody in the street can see it.”
Since lockdown restrictions began, residents up and down the country have taken to their doorsteps at 8pm every Thursday to clap for NHS staff and other key workers.
