Diss estate agent offers free printing for schoolchildren working from home

Parson Estate Agent, in Victoria Road, has lent its hand to pupils by offering to print school work for anyone that does not have access to a printer.

Kevin Parson, who has run the business for 18 years, said that the idea came to him after speaking to local schools to find out how he could help out.

“I spoke to a teacher, and he said that even though a lot of things are online, children still need to print worksheets off,” he said.

After beginning the scheme on Tuesday, Parsons has already had a handful of students, and a teaching assistant, stop by to print off their work – all while maintaining social distancing measures.

Children are allowed to print up to 24 copies per week.

Mr Parson said it was crucial that the town pulls together, especially as the pandemic enters one of its darkest chapters. “Everyone is in this together, so we should be doing all we can to help one another,” he said.
