Diss Corn Hall calls for musicians for its new battle of the bands

Aspiring young musicians are set to go head-to-head as part of a new music competition.

The Corn Hall in Diss has partnered with Access Creative College and Norfolk Music Hub to provide an opportunity for young musicians, aged between 14 and 26, to get noticed.

“This is an exciting opportunity for talented young musicians, from musicians who play for a hobby to those who are serious in making a step in to the music industry,” said Stuart Hobday, chief executive at the Corn Hall.

“Here at the Corn Hall, we are really passionate about creating opportunities for young people within the arts sector.”

There will be two live semi-finals on April 25 and May 4, followed by a live final, all performed on the Corn Hall stage with full PA and lighting.

Prizes include slots at music festivals and venues, recording studio time and equipment vouchers.

To enter, email or send in two recordings. The first should be an original piece of music and the second can be a cover version.

Digital recordings or CD format are acceptable. Email the tracks to music@thecornhall.co.uk.
