The owners of a popular cafe in Diss are preparing to shut up shop, but not before arranging a special farewell.

Sharon Loome and Lucy Cannon will close Mere Moments Cafe next month.

Sharon, who founded the cafe 11 years ago, said running the cafe in Mere Street had been "great fun” and was sad to see it go.

The cafe will officially close on April 18.

On Saturday, April 20, however, Sharon and Lucy will be opening up, hoping to see as many customers as they can, to say farewell.

“It’s not a party as such, but we’ll definitely have the coffee machine on,” said Sharon.

“We'll also be holding a sale to sell off some of the equipment, such as tables and chairs, if anyone wants anything.”

You can read more about what Sharon and Lucy had to say about their experience of running the cafe, and their favourite moments, in this week's Diss Express, out now. (March 15 edition)
