The Diss Business Forum says more and more traders and shoppers alike are seeing the benefits of being a member of the organisation, after strong early support for its incentives programme.

Twenty-four local businesses have signed up to the forum’s Members Incentive Scheme, an initiative which provides free offers, exclusive privileges and discounts to customers with membership cards, since it launched in May, while the total number of members has risen to 104.

Kerry Kirby, Diss Business Forum chairman and director of St Nicholas Street-based company Splice Creative, said she was delighted with the positive anecdotes about the scheme, and would continue to spread the word in the hopes of welcoming new and established businesses on board.

“People do genuinely seem to be getting behind the forum now,” she told the Diss Express.

“It’s an easy thing for people to understand the benefits of. The reason we launched the scheme was to encourage more independent retailers to become members.

“We like to see people supporting local businesses, which is the message we want to send.”
