Diss and surrounding areas hit by evening power outage

Around 10 postcodes in the Diss area are being affected due to a 'local area' power cut this evening.

UK Power Networks engineers are investigating a high voltage overhead electricity line fault which has caused a power cut in the area.

Some households have reported full outages, whereas others have just reported dimming lights.

An estimate on the company's website said power should be restored in some form between 10.30pm and 11.30pm tonight.

According to the company's power cut map on its website, areas in postcode areas of IP21 4, IP22 1, IP22 2, IP22 3, IP22 4, IP22 5, IP32 3, NR16 1, NR16 2 and NR17 1 are being affected.
