Delays and cancellations for Diss rail users after person hit by train between Colchester and Chelmsford




Commuters may see delays and cancellations to their rail services this morning after a person was hit by a train.

Greater Anglia posted on X at 6.58am saying services running through Chelmsford and Colchester may be cancelled, delayed or revised after the incident.

This includes services from London Liverpool Street to Norwichand vice versa.

This service runs through Diss.

So far, the 6am and 7.30am services from Norwich to Liverpool Street have been cancelled.

A Greater Anglia spokesperson: “Some services are currently disrupted due to a person being hit by a train between Chelmsford and Colchester.

“It happened at 06:55, with significant disruption until 08:10, when the lines reopened for normal running.

“Disruption is expected to last until around 11:00 today, we are sorry for any inconvenience caused.”

The spokesperson added anyone delayed by 15 minutes or more is eligible for delay repay.
