Diss runner sets 100-mile target for fundraising in February
Young persons charity The Mix is to receive a timely lift to its funding thanks to the efforts of a keen runner.
Dan Taylor, 23, of Denmark Street in Diss, has set himself a target of running 100 miles in February to raise at least £300 for the charity, which helps provide children and young people with support and opportunities.
Explaining his choice of charity, Dan said: “In this unprecedented time, they have been unable to open and provide the services that children need. It’s the smaller charities that are struggling most.”
More than £200 has been donated so far, and Mr Taylor has already covered more than 60 miles.
“I’ve been running most of my life and have raised money for charity before but it’s difficult in snow. I love a challenge, though,” he said.
