Customers and staff at the Morrisons store in Diss have been praised for their latest fundraising effort — which will provide a life saving defibrillator.

The equipment, which gives a high energy electric shock to the heart through the chest wall to someone who is suffering a cardiac arrest, cost more than £1,000.

Community champion at Morrisons Sharon Eakers, said: “The money was raised by staff and customers so we would like to thank everyone who donated.

“We feel we needed to install a defibrillator as we have many people from all over Diss and further afield and of all ages visit the store.”
