In the front garden of Sue Sanford and her partner Peter George’s house, in Pound Close, they have created a spectacular scene using decorations they have bought and made since they first started raising money for Cancer Research UK through the display in 2001.

The couple’s house is covered with hundreds of Christmas lights, with glowing snowmen outside, and people can make donations to the charity.

Sue, who recovered from breast cancer 15 years ago, said: “This is our 17th year and hopefully people still enjoy seeing them just as much.”
