Could The Corn Hall in Diss win prestigious award again?
An award-winning town venue is hoping to make it two in a row after being nominated for an accolade it won last year.
The Corn Hall in Diss triumphed in the Best Arts, Culture and Theatre category of the 2024 Muddy Stilettos Awards, with the public securing it the win against stiff competition.
Having been nominated by volunteer Suzanne Kayne, the St Nicholas Street venue went up against Norwich Theatre Royal, Gorleston Pavilion Theatre, Cromer Pier Pavilion Theatre and Sheringham Little Theatre.
Having opened as an arts venue in 2010, it has been nominated again for this year’s award and Sophie Scott, of The Corn Hall, hopes voters will help it triumph once more.
“We need as many people as possible to vote for us to get through to the next round,” she said. “It would be amazing to win this for a second year for our lovely town and audience here in Diss.”
