Coronavirus supermarket opening times in Diss: including NHS workers, elderly, and vulnerable shopping times
Supermarkets in Diss have made drastic changes to how and when people are allowed to shop, also allowing for certain hours when NHS staff or vulnerable people can visit.
Despite this, some supermarkets have not updated their opening times, causing a great deal of distress and confusion.

ALDI - Mere Street
ALDI on Mere Street has slightly shortened its opening hours. This has not been updated on the official ALDI website, at the time of publication.
The revised hours are 8am to 8pm Monday to Saturday, and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
NHS workers can shop exclusively from 9:30am to 10am on Sunday.
There are currently no exclusive shopping hours for elderly and vulnerable people.
ALDI is operating a one-in-one-out policy in the store.
Morrisons - Victoria Road
Similarly, Morrisons has also slightly shortened its opening hours, also making an hour a day for NHS workers.
The revised hours are 8am to 8pm Monday to Saturday, and 9:30am to 4pm on Sunday.
NHS workers can shop exclusively from 7am to 8am Monday to Saturday, and 9am to 9:30am on Sunday.
There are currently no exclusive shopping hours for elderly and vulnerable people.
Poundstretcher - Vince's Road
Poundstretcher on Mere Street is operating as normal.
Its opening hours are 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 6pm on Saturday, and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
Tesco - Victoria Road
Tesco has not significantly shortened its opening hours, but is the only major supermarket in Diss that has made concessions for elderly and vulnerable people.
The opening hours are open 8am to 10pm Monday to Friday, 8am to 9pm on Saturday, and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
NHS workers will also have an exclusive hour of shopping from 9am to 10am on Sunday.
Elderly and vulnerable people have not been granted any exclusive shopping hours, but Tesco have introduced 'priority hours' – which are times when they will actively encourage them to shop.
Elderly and vulnerable people can shop exclusively at the store from 9am to 10am on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
NHS workers can shop exclusively at the store from 9am to 10am on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
During 'priority hours' they cannot refuse service to anybody who does not belong to the assigned group, but encourage them not to shop at this time.
The store is doing a one-in-one-out-policy, allowing up to 80 people in the store at one time.
