Coronavirus daily: Vaccine taskforce launched as Norfolk cases pass 800

The government has said it has launched a coronavirus vaccine taskforce as the UK's laboratory confirmed cases of coronavirus reached 108,692.

Public Health England figures from yesterday showed Norfolk positive cases have risen by 56 to a 842 in the previous 24-hour period, with Suffolk only seeing a small rise of 18 cases to 545.

The amount of daily positive cases in the UK for the period was 5,599.

England has had 83,474 cases in total, Scotland with 7,409, Wales with 6,645 and Northern Ireland with 2,338.

Daily deaths in hospitals was reported at 847 cases and the total number of deaths in hospitals is now up to 14,576.
