Coronavirus daily: Positive cases in Suffolk hit 300 as reported daily deaths in UK at new high

Public Health England figures from 5pm last night, covering the previous 24-hour period, showed there had been 938 in hospitals - the highest figure in the UK since the coronavirus pandemic began.

Experts though did explain that some of that number could be from some hospitals having reporting delays from the weekend.

Suffolk positive coronavirus cases are now at 302, with Norfolk confirming 386 so far.

The figures for positive cases across the UK now stands at 5,491, with the total amount of UK confirmed cases now stands at 60,733.

England has had 50,756 cases, Scotland with 4,565, Wales with 4,073 and Northern Ireland with 1,339.
