Coronavirus daily: Norfolk close to 800 reported confirmed cases as the UK passes 100,000

With the government confirming that lockdown will continue for 'at least' another three weeks, the UK's Laboratory confirmed cases of coronavirus reached 103,093.

Public Health England figures, from 2.44pm yesterday, showed Norfolk has reported a total of 786 positive cases in the previous 24-hour period, with Suffolk's count now at 527.

The amount of daily positive cases in the UK for that period was 4,618.

England has had 79,489 cases in total, Scotland with 7,102, Wales with 6,401 and Northern Ireland with 2,201.

Daily deaths in hospitals saw a rise of 100 from the previous 24-hour period to 861, bringing the total number of deaths in hospitals to 13,729.
