Coronavirus daily: Norfolk close to 700 confirmed cases as Suffolk nears 500




With the government set to review its lockdown measures and the next step in tackling the coronavirus, Public Health England figures showed Norfolk has reported a total of 699 positive cases so far, which is a rise of 52 in the last recorded 24-hour period.

Suffolk also saw a rise of 35 cases, taking the county's count to 493.

The amount of reported positive cases in the UK for this period was 5,252, up from 4,342 recorded in the previous 24-hour period.

The total amount of laboratory confirmed cases in the UK now standing at 93,873.

England has had 73,183 cases, Scotland with 6,358, Wales with 5,848 and Northern Ireland with 1,967.

Daily deaths in hospitals has also seen a slight rise - from 717 in the previous 24-hour period to 778 in this one and the total of deaths in hospitals now stands at 12,107.
