Coronavirus Daily: Hospitals release virus figures as both counties register small amounts of positive cases

The number of coronavirus-related deaths, as of today, at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital has now reached 121 since the outbreak began.

Though a further 265 patients had recovered sufficiently to return home, the hospital confirmed.

As of Tuesday, West Suffolk Hospital, in Bury St Edmunds, said 221 patients who tested positive for the virus had been admitted so far, with 67 having died and 106 people having recovered well enough to be discharged.

Yesterday's figures from Public Health England showed Norfolk had seven daily positive cases over the last reported 24-hours, taking its total so far to 2,135, with Suffolk reporting three new cases, with total of 1,470.

The UK's daily figure for confirmed cases went up slightly to 2,013, from 2,004 in the previous reporting period, and the UK's daily deaths were 412.
