Coronavirus Daily: Health Secretary announces new swab test trials

People are being asked to stay home as much as possible over this bank holiday by Health Secretary Matt Hancock, who said we should 'renew our efforts' against coronavirus.

Also in the government's daily briefing yesterday, he said that swab test trials that take only 20 minutes to show a result are being tested in Hampshire.

The trials will consist of around 4,000 of all ages and backgrounds being tested over a six week period.

The new swab tests are said to give a result if a person has coronavirus in 20 minutes.
