Coronavirus Daily: Health Secretary announces coronavirus testing expansion

Children aged five and over who have symptoms can now be tested for coronavirus, announced Health Secretary Matt Hancock in Parliament yesterday.

Also loss of taste or smell was added to the list of Covid-19 symptoms, along with a fever and a new persistent cough.

On testing, he said: "Every day we are creating more capacity and that means more people can be tested, and the virus has fewer places to hide."
