Coronavirus daily: Country called upon to listen to government about social distancing

As the country is set to enjoy another hot day, the government are once again calling on people to observe their rules on social distancing and staying in their homes, after there were reports across the country of groups of people sunbathing in parks and having barbecues on the beach.

Figures from Public Health England last night, showed there had been 708 deaths over the previous 24-hour period, with daily positive cases standing at 3,735.

Norfolk now has 254 confirmed cases, a rise of 29, with Suffolk having another 30 cases, from 161 to 191.

The total amount of UK confirmed cases now stands at 41,903 - England has had 34,707 cases, Scotland with 3,345, Wales 2,853 and Northern Ireland with 998.

Total deaths from the virus across the UK is now at 4,313.

Suffolk now has the same amount of cases as Cambridgeshire and Salford, and Norfolk has one less than Buckinghamshire and three more than Manchester.
