Concern grows for missing Mendlesham man Edward Lowe
Police are growing increasingly concerned for a missing Mendlesham man who was last seen in Ipswich.
Edward Lowe, 70, was last seen at around 3.30pm on Monday after attending a routine appointment at Heath Road Hospital in Ipswich.
Detective Inspector Matt Connick said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Edward. His disappearance is out of character and we are worried that he might not have the medication he needs to manage his diabetes.
“We’re urging anyone who may have seen him to contact us and we’d appeal to Edward himself to contact us to let us know that he is safe if he is reading this.”
Mr Lowe left home in Mendlesham at around 9.40am to travel to Ipswich by bus, but failed to return. It’s believed he took a bus into Ipswich town centre following the hospital appointment, before taking a further bus in the direction of Ipswich train station.
He is described as white, around 5ft 5in tall, of medium build, with grey hair balding on top, a grey beard and blue eyes. He was wearing a dark brown three-quarter length jacket and charcoal-coloured trousers.
Anyone who believes they may have seen Edward, or who has any information about his whereabouts, is asked to contact Ipswich CID on 101.
