Police appeal for witnesses following fatal collision in Old Buckenham

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Old Buckenham over the weekend.

The collision happened along the B1077 near to the junction of Fen Street between Attleborough and Old Buckenham shortly before 7.30am on Saturday, November 27, when a blue Ford KA collided with a tree.

The driver and passenger, both men aged in their 20s, were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Sadly the passenger died on Sunday, November 28, as a result of his injuries.

The driver was discharged from the hospital on Monday, November 29. He has since been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, theft of a motor vehicle, driving without insurance or a licence and being unfit to drive through drink or drugs.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has any information about the manner of driving prior to the collision to come forward.
