The new reception children at Long Stratton’s Manor Field Infant and Nursery School have been travelling far and wide in their lessons - first up into space and now to the freezing climes of the South Pole.
Spilt into two classes - Acorns and Conkers - their current chilly topic is based on a story called Lost and Found of a boy and a penguin who go to Antarctica. During the autumn term they settled into school life by looking at space and building rockets in their role play area and next term will visit a local farm.
