Police are appealing for witnesses after a large quantity of cigarettes was stolen from an Attleborough garage in the early hours of this morning.

It happened at the Aline garage in Exchange Street, between midnight and 3am.

Officers are particularly keen to trace two men in dark clothing who were seen acting suspiciously in the area between the times stated.

It is believed they may have also been carrying a pink duvet or blanket.

Anyone who may have seen or heard any suspicious activity should contact Thetford CID on 101.
