Chris Porsz: Dog days are (R)over
There’s a decidedly canine theme to this week’s feature.
The mono picture is from Cathedral Square in 1980 (I remember the little one went in the basket).
Today’s colour one is in Bridge Street in the late 1980s. But who were the people?
As always, get in touch via my website at www.chrisporsz.com
Reader Paula Browning did just that regarding her late dad, Paul Browning, who featured recently in a Tarzan pose.
“My dad was born in 1937 and he had three daughters. Paula, Julie and Tracey. He worked in the brickyards then lorry driving and was also compere at Fletton club for a while. He moved to Luton and became landlord of a few pubs. He used to love singing, so being in the pub trade he always had an audience. I was just 12 when he died.”
