Chelsea Flower Show gold medal for Peter Beales
Attleborough’s Peter Beales Roses has won a Gold Medal for its exhibit at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
The business, specialising in the preservation of old fashioned, historic and rare roses since 1968, won its 28th medal at the event on Monday.
The 2023 exhibit took a week to create, using more than 800 old-fashioned and contemporary roses, including climbers, ramblers and the company’s new introductions for this year - ‘Louise Peel’ and Beryl Felicia Manthrop’.
The exhibit was designed and put together by nursery manager Ian Limmer and his team for the show.
He said: “From the first design thoughts right through to the final rose positioning it has been a tremendous team effort.
“I can’t thank the staff enough for all their tireless hard work, passion and dedication in creating this gold medal winning exhibit, this medal belongs to them all.”
