Charity flash mob bursts into dance at Diss Morrisons
Diss shoppers received a huge surprise when a flash mob suddenly erupted into dance inside the Morrisons supermarket on Saturday to raise money for charity.
Members of The Jungle Body dance group, posing as shoppers, took over the fruit and vegetable section as they showed off their routines while music blasted out, all in aid of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).
Amy Bobbins, from The Jungle Body, said they had been planning the flash mob for weeks and thanked the shoppers for their support in raising more than £100 in a single afternoon.
“We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and I’m very proud of this group of girls who stepped right out of their comfort zones today and conquered their nerves to be part of this fundraiser,” she said.
“The majority of ladies who took part today can’t believe they actually did it.”
She added the team was planning more events to benefit the charity.
In 2014, Amy’s husband Tom, who owns Heywood Fitness Club in Diss, collected over £7,000 after running four marathons in five weeks.
She stated: “We went to look round the Quidenham Hospice and we were both blown away. We have three gorgeous children and our insight into the charity puts into perspective how lucky we are.”
